Location
The Crow Snow Riders Association is located in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, which is located in the Southwestern Rocky Mountains of Alberta. The area has approximately 1200 km of trails, including approximately 200km of pristine groomed trails, maintained by the Crow Snow Riders Association. The association also maintains 2 snowmobile emergency shelters. One shelter is south of Highway #3 in the Castle Special Management Wilderness Area, while the other shelter is located north of Highway #3 in the Racehorse Creek area.

History
The Crow Snow Riders was formed as an association in 1991 and currently has approximately 200 registered members, located across southern Alberta and southeastern British Columbia.

Over the past 18 years, the Crow Snow Riders have worked hand-in-hand with the Pincher Creek Mountaineers, the Crowsnest Pass Quad Squad. Sustainable Resource Development (SRD) and residents of these communities, to develop and maintain the recreational areas that outdoor enthusiasts of all ages enjoy today.

The Crowsnest Pass area has been voted, by snowmobilers, as the favorite overall snowmobiling area in Western Canada. In the past ten years, the area has consecutively been awarded the SnoWest Rider Choice Platinum Award for the best family riding in Western Canada. The Crowsnest Pass trail system offers something for everyone. Safe easy family trails or more advanced trails that afford extreme riding destinations.

Mission Statement
To promote, educate and facilitate the sport of safe, enjoyable snowmobiling in the Southwestern Rocky Mountains of Alberta. The recognition and promotion of our generosity sponsors enhances the spirit of volunteerism and community spirit. The Crow Snow Riders appreciate and acknowledge these sponsors through various activities and endeavors.

Volunteerizm

Objectives
To promote, educate and facilitate the sport of safe, enjoyable snowmobiling in the Southwestern Rocky Mountains of Alberta by:

  • Promoting safe snowmobiling through training for novice snowmobilers and promoting Avalanche Awareness and Training.
  • Working with Government Agencies and other trail users to ensure continued access for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages to the backcountry, north/south between Kananaskis Country and Waterton National Park, east/west from the Praries across the Continental Divide to British Columbia.
  • Maintaining safe and viable trail systems, which consist of terrain for all levels of riding experience, from novice to advanced. This includes grooming of primary access trails.
  • To develop and maintain alliances and working relationships with other area groups, who share the same common interest in the area as a recreational destination in Western Canada.
  • To promote snowmobiling as a family activity and to ensure that snowmobiling continues to thrive as a viable recreational activity, now and for generations to come.
  • To organize social events for the entire family, bringing snowmobilers together and to promote club and social harmony.
